Fresh Air Louver
Fixed-blade intake louver providing weather screening and free area for outdoor-air ventilation openings.
Self-draining intake louver that separates airborne sand before fresh air enters the ventilation system.
Sand-trap louvers use a series of intersecting channels to change the direction of particle-laden air. Heavier sand drops into a lower collection area with drainage holes rather than entering the duct. They reduce sand loading on downstream filters in UAE outdoor-air intakes but do not replace fine filtration.
Typical construction information for early coordination. Final values are governed by the selected model, approved material and project design.
| Material | Extruded aluminium or galvanized steel |
|---|---|
| Blade system | Inverted channels with sand-collection and drain path |
| Construction | Flanged or continuous-frame modular assembly |
| Options | Bird screen, filter section, access and drain provision |
| Finish | Anodized or powder coated for exterior exposure |
| Sizing | Based on face velocity, pressure drop and separation data |
Sand separation efficiency and pressure drop are velocity and model dependent. Performance selection and drain access must be coordinated with the intake design.
