Sand Trap Louver
Self-draining intake louver that separates airborne sand before fresh air enters the ventilation system.
Fixed or gravity-operated exhaust louver for low-resistance discharge and backdraft reduction.
Exhaust louvers protect discharge openings and can be supplied with fixed weather blades or gravity backdraft blades. Gravity models open under fan pressure and close when airflow stops, reducing reverse drafts. Blade weight, hinge alignment and discharge velocity are checked to ensure reliable opening without excessive pressure loss.
Typical construction information for early coordination. Final values are governed by the selected model, approved material and project design.
| Types | Fixed weather blade or gravity backdraft |
|---|---|
| Material | Aluminium or galvanized steel |
| Blade action | Fixed, or counterbalanced/free-pivot gravity operation |
| Frame | Flanged/channel frame with rear screen options |
