Sand Trap Louver
Self-draining intake louver that separates airborne sand before fresh air enters the ventilation system.
Fixed-blade intake louver providing weather screening and free area for outdoor-air ventilation openings.
Fresh-air louvers admit outdoor air while screening debris and reducing direct weather ingress. Blade pitch, depth and frame construction are selected around required free area, allowable pressure drop and exposure. Rear screens and control dampers can be integrated as separate, accessible components.
Typical construction information for early coordination. Final values are governed by the selected model, approved material and project design.
| Material | Extruded aluminium or GI construction |
|---|---|
| Blades | Fixed, drainable or standard profile |
| Frame | Channel/flanged frame with reinforced mullions |
| Screen | Optional aluminium bird/insect mesh |
| Finish | Anodized or external-grade powder coating |
| Assembly | Single or multi-panel modular sizes |
A fresh-air louver is not automatically weatherproof at all wind-driven-rain conditions. Select using free-area, pressure-drop and water-penetration data for the exposure.

Self-draining intake louver that separates airborne sand before fresh air enters the ventilation system.
Deep, drainable external blades engineered to limit rain entry at intake and exhaust openings.
Fixed or gravity-operated exhaust louver for low-resistance discharge and backdraft reduction.
